NMDHA 2010 Field Days
September 25, 2010
Leroy and Eileen Ritter
Avon, Minnesota

After 3 to 10” of rain in the state earlier in the week, we lucked out with less than an inch at the Field Days grounds. The weather was raining in the morning with skies clearing about noon. The sun made an appearance and gave us a beautiful day for our 31st Field Days.

The teamsters show up ready to show off their equipment and skills. These activities included: disking, plowing, several hay activities, corn binding & picking, threshing and binding of grain, digging of potatoes, thistle cutting, road building and various other activities and the grand parade. The drawing for prizes followed by the parade.

Annual Meeting:

The Annual Banquet Meeting will be held on February 27th, 2011 at noon at The Landing in St. Anna, Minnesota.

There will be director positions open at our annual meeting in February. Please consider becoming a director. You must be A Teamster to be a director. If interested please have a member nominate you.

We will also be selecting a new Draft Horse Queen for 2011-2012 year. If your parents are active members of the club and own draft horses or mules, you are eligible to become queen.

2010 DVD’s will be on sale at our banquet. If you want them mailed it will be an extra $3.00. We are still looking for grounds for future Field Days. If interested please contact one of the Board Members.

We are also looking for someone to host the Spring Plow Days.
